Ayden

This past year, Ayden was excited to work with Grayson, a senior in high school. Together they worked on the basic building blocks of reading, including alphabetic knowledge, phonological awareness, phonics, word recognition, and comprehension. Grayson, who volunteered twice a week with STAIR, took his role as a tutor very seriously. He understood that it was a big responsibility to help a child learn how to read. Reading well is a skill that Ayden will use every day for the rest of his life.

Ayden graduated the STAIR program this year, and even read the opening remarks at his graduation! He continued to build on his reading skills and that will help him thrive the rest of his school career.
